How to Configure Microsoft Outlook Email Client

This guide is intended for ATLEX company clients who have purchased virtual hosting services and want to configure email functionality through the Microsoft Outlook (New) email client after creating an email account in the cPanel hosting control panel. Proper email client configuration will allow you to effectively use email with your domain name for business correspondence and other communications.

Preparation for Setup

Before starting the email client configuration, make sure that:

  1. You have already created an email account in the cPanel hosting control panel. You can find detailed instructions for creating an email account in our Knowledge Base: "How to create an email account in cPanel".
  2. You have Microsoft Outlook (New) email client installed.
  3. You have the login credentials for your email account (username and password).

Step-by-Step Microsoft Outlook (New) Configuration

Step 1: Launch Microsoft Outlook and Begin Setup

  1. Launch Microsoft Outlook (New).
  2. On first launch, a window will appear offering to set up a new email account.
  3. Enter your full email address in the appropriate field (for example, info@your-domain99.ru), as shown in Figure 1.

Step 2: Select Connection Protocol

On the next step, select the IMAP protocol, as shown in Figure 2.

Step 3: Configure Incoming and Outgoing Mail Server Parameters

Fill in the data for incoming and outgoing mail servers.

For incoming mail (IMAP):

  • IMAP incoming mail server: use the server address obtained when creating the email account in the cPanel hosting control panel
  • Port: 993
  • Username: your full email address (for example, info@your-domain99.ru)
  • Password: password for your email account, set in cPanel

For outgoing mail (SMTP):

  • SMTP outgoing mail server: use the server address obtained when creating the email account in the cPanel hosting control panel
  • Port: 465

Click the "Continue" button to complete the setup.

Settings Verification

After completing the configuration process, please ensure that the following parameters are set:

Email address name@<Your_domain>
Account (login) name@<Your_domain>
Password ********
IMAP server server address obtained when creating the email account
IMAP port 993
SMTP server server address obtained when creating the email account
SMTP port 465

Congratulations! You have successfully configured your email account in Microsoft Outlook (New). Now you can send and receive emails using your domain email address.
